Czy jest lepszy sposób na spędzenie dnia św. Patryka, niż posłuchanie na żywo muzyki folk przy pokazie tańców irlandzkich?
17 marca mieliśmy okazję spędzić dzień św. Patryka w prawdziwie irlandzkim klimacie. Tego dnia w Teatrze Szekspirowskim wystąpił zespół Beltaine. Folkowym brzmieniom towarzyszył zespół tańca irlandzkiego – Glendalough.
Beltaine, to polski zespół folkowy, który czerpie inspiracje z kultury irlandzkiej, szkockiej i bretońskiej. Powstał w 2002 roku w Katowicach. Obecnie składa się z 7 członków. Zespół jak na razie wydał sześć albumów, w tym cztery studyjne i dwa koncertowe. Są trzykrotnymi laureatami „Wirtualnych Gęśli” za najlepszą płytę folkową roku.
Niezwykle żywiołowe koncerty porywają publiczność nie tylko w Polsce, ale i na całym świecie. Zespół miał okazję koncertować m.in. w Malezji, USA, Kanadzie oraz Meksyku. Jak sami podkreślają – podróże inspirują ich do twórczości, w utworach bowiem słychać naleciałości także z innych kultur świata. Co więcej – oprócz folkowego brzmienia, na płytach słychać także elementy muzyki funk, hip-hopu a nawet dubstepu! W tej mieszance wybuchowej każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie.
Występ Beltaine i Glendalough tworzył doskonałe widowisko muzyczne, podczas którego można było poczuć klimat Zielonej Wyspy. Zespół zaprezentował głównie utwory z najnowszej płyty Miusjik. Były one poprzedzane zabawnymi anegdotkami Grzegorza Chudego, frontmana zespołu, odnośnie kultury Szkocji i Irlandii. Teatr Szekspirowski okazał się doskonałym miejscem na koncert. Do pełni szczęścia zabrakło tylko zielonego piwa. 🙂
