Już w kwietniu na terenie Politechniki Gdańskiej odbędzie się I Międzynarodowa Konferencja Studenckich Kół Naukowych, która skierowana jest zarówno do studentów, jak i do pracowników naukowych. Wydarzenie będzie miało charakter spotkania otwartego, a jego tematyka będzie dotyczyła „Przemian politycznych, gospodarczych i społecznych w Europie Środkowej i Wschodniej w XXI wieku”. Konferencja odbędzie się w dniach 21-22 kwietnia 2016 roku na terenie Wydziału Zarządzania i Ekonomii przy Politechnice Gdańskiej.
W wydarzeniu organizowanym przez Koło Naukowe Euroinicjatywa, oprócz studentów z Trójmiasta, udział wezmą również goście z Rosji, Ukrainy oraz Białorusi. Referaty wygłoszone w trakcie jego trwania podejmą zagadnienia integracji europejskiej, transformacji systemowej, konkurencyjności, innowacji i zarządzania, jak również bezpieczeństwa. Aby zadbać o wysoki poziom konferencji, organizatorzy zadbali o prelekcje w wielu językach: polskim, angielskim, rosyjskim oraz ukraińskim.
Głównym celem konferencji będzie prezentacja wyników badań, przeprowadzonych przez studentów i doktorantów w trakcie ich pracy naukowej, a także wymiana myśli w otwartej dyskusji, możliwość podjęcia współpracy międzynarodowej czy nawiązanie kontaktów pomiędzy członkami kół naukowych. Patronat honorowy nad konferencją objęli Prezydent Miasta Gdańsk Paweł Adamowicz oraz Dziekan Wydziału Zarządzania Politechniki Gdańskiej dr hab. Julita Wasilczuk, prof. nadzw. PG.
