Na rok 2016 przypada XX rocznica debiutu scenicznego Partii, kultowego warszawskiego zespołu. Wyjątkowym wydarzeniem będą jubileuszowe koncerty, podczas których Komety – formacja, założona przez Lesława, lidera Partii – zaprezentuje set złożony z największych przebojów, nieistniejącego już zespołu. Słuchacze będą mieli szansę usłyszeć ten materiał po raz pierwszy od 13 lat.
W październiku do sprzedaży trafił nowy album koncertowy Komet zatytułowany „Bal nadziei” (Thin Man Records, 2016). Płyta jest zapisem trasy koncertowej, która odbyła się jesienią 2015 roku. Na krążku znajduje się wiązanka największych przebojów Komet w wersji live, a zespół dołożył wszelkich starań, by nowa płyta koncertowa miała jakość albumu studyjnego.

Znajomość tylko studyjnego oblicza Komet to niepełny obraz zespołu. Postanowiliśmy wydać płytę koncertową, ponieważ chcieliśmy, żeby słuchacz mógł się w domu lub samochodzie poczuć jak na naszym koncercie. Kiedy jej się słucha, z głośników cieknie pot.
