11 grudnia w Gdyni Chwarznie w deszczowej aurze odbyła się impreza na orientację „Śnieżynka 2016”, organizowana przez AKK GDAKK, działający przy Politechnice Gdańskiej. Był to ostatni etap Pucharu GDAKKa 2016.
O orientacji sportowej dowiedzieliśmy się wiele podczas audycji sportowej w naszym radiu, której gościem był Michał Bałchanowski z MORENKA Team. Głównym założeniem tego sportu jest odnalezienie w terenie kilku lub kilkunastu punktów kontrolnych w jak najszybszym czasie. Niekiedy jest to bardzo trudne, bo rozstawione w terenie są również punkty stowarzyszone, które mają za zadanie utrudnić zabawę uczestnikom. Tak było również tym razem.
Impreza odbywała się na trzech trasach: dla początkujących, średnio zaawansowanych oraz zaawansowanych. O skali trudności zawodów świadczy fakt, że na 43 startujące drużyny tylko jednej udało się ukończyć bez punktów karnych. Tego wyczynu na trasie dla początkujących dokonała grupa pod nazwą Obściółkowani AKK GDAKK, czyli Sabina Snoch i Mateusz Kruszyński.
Bardzo miłym akcentem zawodów była możliwość rozgrzania się po biegu gorącą herbatą i posilenie się ciastkami. Organizatorzy zgodnie stwierdzili, że „Śnieżynka 2016” była bardzo udana i zapraszają wszystkich chętnych do udziału w kolejnych edycjach Pucharu GDAKKa. Następny rajd odbędzie się już w lutym, a jego nazwa „Śniegołazik” już teraz brzmi bardzo zachęcająco.
